hello .
i know it may sound silly but this is what i am planning to do and would like to hear an advise from experienced people.
i am joining trucking industry and for the start i should ve go work as a company driver for a while before becomeing o/o but i have different situation and i got truck and trailer and would like to start as an oo . i drove 1,5 months with another driver to learn what and how to do , now i will be starting it myself . so i have few questions and would like you to help me with that .
again as most of you think it is not good idea but this is what it is and i already purchased truck and trailer .
1. for new driver it is hard to find a dispatcher who will take you under his insurance , it is also hard to obtain insurance by myself , so in this is case should i get my own authority or just keep looking for another dispatchers ?( if you know one who can help me please provide . thanks )
2. will big companies hire a new driver with his own truck and trailer ?(new cdl , truck is volvo 2006)
3. if i get my own authority will this still be hard to find a broker who will work with you ?( in this case what should i do )
thank you all
Bob
new O/O

!st try to lease on your truck with CO. that you drove with other driver, they allready have all your driving info at that co. so it will be easy to get signed on and start making cash money?

You say your situation is different and you have a truck and trailer. Then a few sentences later you say you have already purchased a truck and trailer.
Your situation is no different than anyone else that put the cart in front of the horse and then couldn't figure out what went wrong. Best of luck to you.droo and spongebob1 Thank this. -
