With the rioting and looting going on, what should you do if you are driving your truck and all of a sudden find yourself stopped because rioters have blocked the road?

What should you do if they start throwing bricks at your windshield and are trying to assault you? Everyone knows the famous case of Reginald Denny, the truck driver brutally attacked in the L.A. riots several years ago.

I know some people will say, put the pedal to the metal and run them over! But is that realistic? You would be charged with a crime I suppose, and I'm sure your company would fire you. But then again, your life may indeed be at stake.

    What would you seriously do?

Honestly, I would lay on the air horn and start moving, if I legitimately feel my life is in danger I have no problem running people over if they are intentionaly blocking my egress.

Not much you can do. If you're in a situation where you can't move forward without running over somebody, set the brakes, lock the doors, roll up the windows and stay INSIDE the cab. If they somehow get in and drag you out that's on them, but don't get out and "join the mob". Them breaking a window to assault an individual carries a whole new level of charges and is easy to make the charges stick (broken glass followed by driver forcibly removed). These types of events have too many cameras around and the violent protestors know this and don't want to make too much of a show attacking an innocent motorist who is locked up inside their domicile.

For sure, Im not gonna get pulled out and beaten or killed. I would not have a problem running them over if it was between me and them.

"at work"? Are you serious? I can almost guarantee you 90% of the protestors in/around Ferguson the other night did not have jobs. You'd be more effective driving through mid morning while they're still in bed wondering why they can't get ahead in life.

Not necessarily charged with a crime. A car in Minnesota did that last night. They are just investigating at this point.
