Graduating soon and of course like everybody else, I don't want to get stuck with a really low paying job right out of school! Interested in Averitt, Melton and MBM as of right now if I can got on with them! Any that pay decent with no
experirnce? More then $600 a week would be nice! Thank you

You realistically cannot demand high pay right out of school. We all had to start at a lower wage than the more experienced and senior drivers, then work your way up. Working your way up in a trucking company isn't that long or drawn out a deal, it can happen pretty darned fast. $600 weekly can be had at nearly any company, and maybe even a bit more. I'll surmise you mean, after taxes? As far as companies in Florida, that I am not familiar with, other than I think Indian River? Freight going INTO Fl, happens every day, it's what is coming out. I was always reading where freight companies will hire you, but never make too many promises to get you back out, which could mean, long periods of downtime. But maybe that has changed? There is a supermarket company down there, can't remember the exact name, give them a try, as they would be more localized, but you may have to start on the docks. I do believe that R+L an LTL company is in Fl as well, but again, you may have to start on the docks. But either way, your foot is in the door.

May as well go for at least a thousand a week and you can do that with tankers or LTL.

    Southeastern Freight Lines in Orlando.
    Tidewater Transit
    Schneider Bulk
CTL Transportation - OTR, not local.
    Superior Carriers
    SVTN
    Trimac Transportation

Might do good with Armellini Express or Sunstate Carriers; probably decent hometime on weekends and average paychecks. Better weekly pay with tankers though. Put in lots of applications then take the best job offer. Sometimes there's a waiting list for Armellini.

Crete Carrier has a terminal in DeLand , Fl. They put new drivers with a trainer for 2 months. They pay better than most other companies. You should check them out.

Unless it's changed, they don't hire students from Florida.

So Florida doesn´t seem to be easy hiring compared to Chicago or Texas, correct?
