finally got my medical card

Congrats and yes you have to go to DMV or on the website and add it, if you don't have one they will suspend your CDL license only until you do, of course if you have yet to get your CDL then when youdo test out they can just add it while you're there, Florida charges I think $6 to add it for you.

Here in CT you have to fax them your long forum, get receipt from fax for proof.
You also have to go on line to self certify.

Hi dave, allright, now get to work,,,just kidding(I should talk)See, now , being the world's biggest skeptic, I smell a rat with that vision test. These DOT clinics are all about making money, and very well could have fudged the vision test, so you'd have to go the dr., get glasses. They probably get a kickback from that. The fact you passed at the DMV sends up a red flag, for me anyway. But it's over, they all made their money off you and on to the next poor person. I think most places take a copy of your med card. And make sure you keep that on you AT ALL TIMES. It's like your "get out of jail free" card. That's the 2nd thing a cop will ask you for at a scale. "License and med card, please". Good luck.

 

Good deal glad you passed.Make sure to get the card registered asap with your DMV.I took my recertification physical last Friday so im good for 2 yrs.But that doesn't mean I still won't have to take another physical once I get a job.You will probably have to do the same thing when you do get your first trucking job.Most the companies prefer you have their own doctor do the physical because their insurance requires it.

 

CDL holders are held to a higher vision requirement then NON-CDL holders. but congrats on passing!
