So my husband is in training and when he finally comes home (Schneider, and he's passed the first week and is on the road with a trainer so, so far we are good) he is bringing his truck with him, we live in chesterfield, va so I see lots of parked trucks around but how does one go about finding clearance for that? I'm trying to get it set up for him I'm just not sure where to start.
Thank you, and everyone be safe out there!

No clearance needed. You park where you can legally park. The first place it ask is local PD. Also check with the city offices to see if you have any local ordnances about parking.Generally speaking if trucks are parked there then your husband can too. Unless its a fenced/unfenced yard ran by a company or person with paid parking.

regardless of whether other trucks park at whatever place,i suggest that you get verbal/written permission to park there. it will reap rewards if the others are asked to leave. i personally rent a spot at a marina near where i live, same lake that i reside on,and pay $50.00/month,an insignificant price to pay for peace of mind AND a legitimate place to park.there was a big orange driver that got towed after i suggested to him that he clear parking with the marina owner. he spouted off that he parks there all the time,an outright lie as i do park there frequently.anyway, the cedar bluff chief of PD was on the horn quickly talking to dollar general,as that was the name on the trl i think, who referred him to shneider who apparently couldn't get said driver,so trl was towed.
NO i did not turn him in as the marina owners were on it quickly since cool dude in orange truck had droppped trl right in the main in/out for boaters who pay to put in as well.an orange einstein that driver was.GummiBear3 and OldHasBeen Thank this. -
Better direction but yeah. I feel like there is probably a bunch by where we are cause we are in the middle of everything, just a matter of contacting the right people I guess. I'll drive around some on Sat and see if i can scout out some contacts.
