Hi everyone just got back to the states and I'm encountering a huge problem with the online apps.
the Problem is I have been living in China for the last 2 years and when I have to put down my residence for the past 3 years I can't .
Also the want 10 years of job history and personal references but I only have information from china and they don't have an option for overseas .
So my question to you guys and gals is should I just wait until Monday and call the recruiters ? AnY advice WOULD be great thanks.

Having been through thiis one myself, you're actually in a BETTER position - less references to check. Basically like a new born truck driver. Call them and explain. They're not going to be calling overseas in a hurry to check up.

If your able , why not go see them in person. Lots of times , more often than not I would bet , a ftf meeting opens doors much quicker than a phone call. Leave the recruiters out of it too. Contact potential employers directly. You get lost in the paper shuffle too easily by working the phones or talki g to recruiters who are there to make money. The " old fashioned " way still works , and works much better.

I agree completely, although with OTR companies....it could be difficult...unless a terminal is close by. But yes, this does get the job done as you can sell yourself better

I wouldn't worry about it and apply.. what other option is there.. ?

If and when they ask, provide some sort of proof you were there doing what you said

Remember, those recruiters do not work for you. I recommend you go and see the company.

Yes sir ! I googled OTR companies in or near Riverside Ca. and got a ton of companies listed. Be really easy to take a ride around that area and check them out. A little time / fuel / & shoe leather spent , would probably result in a job prospect.
