2nd night with him after dinner I came back and the sleeper cirtak. was closed and music blast . 3rd night same thing except no music and he put garbage can in front of the curtain.

I have a bit of social awkwardness so I never brought it up and assumed it was a "sock on door knob" code.

Whatever he's doing I'm not gonna snitch since he's nice enough but I'd rather not stand outside freezing or spend more money at whatever fast food join the truck stop has for a warm place to wait

Next time leave a note where he/she cant miss it, with big letters, " coming back to bed at 10:45" or so..

Usually that is the highest "silent compliment" a student will ever receive. It means he has confidence in you and trusts his life in your hands.

Feel good about this, but DO NOT get a big head about it. Give him a reason to open the curtain, and you will have a LONG WAY TO GO, to gain his confidence back in you.

ALSO, IF YOU EVER stop the truck for say a dinner break, coffee break, whatever, make sure you check back there, that he is still there, so you do not drive off with out him!

Have a "code" that when NO ONE is in the berth? LEAVE THE DARNED CURTAIN OPEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Its western express man ,not much I can hope for in The training department .

Plus they got me in a auto so not too much to know .in orientation they said to do a dvir report and some other stuff daily bit he said not too . Also his pre trip/post trips are lacking but I guess that's normal. His truck could use some cleaning ,saw a McDonalds cup with looked like mold butits not really messy or anything .

I don't want to say he's bad because what can I compare it to?the CDL mill I attended ? And even then we gotta factor in western expresses reputation

Oh, I was under the impression you had been driving. Oh well, if he has a stack of girly mags? I'd not bother him any time too soon!

If he's suppose to be your trainer, then he should leave his "cough cough" play time when he doesn't have a student! I would be on the phone requesting a new trainer
