Help 2 schneider reject

Hi, first of all i want to thank everybody here for the wealth of information one can gather in this great site.
i have a question and hope some one can answer it, i am a schneider reject i did not make it through training for reasons that i rather not discuss as it has been almost a year since that happen (water under the bridge)
well on to the question i applied for maverick filled an application 4 days later they called to go through my application they left a voice mail on my cell and i called back left a voice mail but nothing i understand that there is a long back log and that does not bother me at all
what bothers me is not knowing if they will take me even if i am schneider reject? thanks again to all

Hard to address your concerns without knowing what the water is.

If it's something minor, you'll eventually get a job. Something major, you won't.

The best thing you can do at this point, don't put all your eggs in one basket. Try putting in multiple applications, with other companies.

The companies you see advertising higher pay scales, usually have a backlog of applications. Some/most with more experience than you.

I feel your pain, but really schneider is a hell hole anyway and I would never try working for them again. I was going their training program and was kicked out in two days, and for what? my hearing aids I ended up going to college with SAGE and had no problems getting my CDL from them and etc. My driving was fine when I was in schneider training, but my trainer was being a ### and said something to his boss, who just kicked me out without any warnings. I had to get a bus ticket back home. My best friend who went with me at the time also got treated to get kicked out. So... He end up leaving them like one day after I got kicked out. Really don't worry about them.

thanks for answering,
the reason they send me packing was because i did no perform as expected and how could i? i had the very bad luck of getting a really neurotic trainer, really i am not exagerating this guy was bad bad yelling, screming, it looked like his job was to get us scared and intimidated, i have delt with neurotic persons in the past but this guy was something else it was three of us with him, it got so bad that we had to talk to his "boss" but nothing happened by the end of the first week it got worst so we talked to him again finally in the second week they switched us with a new trainer but by that time we were far behind schedule they send us all three home
will this cause maverick or other companies not to take me?

Maybe so maybe no. It's hard to say, if they don't ask then you don't tell. Keep your mouth shut and you might get through. If it's not on your driving record then your probably good. The key to all of this is get your CDL.

Talking Fellow Schneider reject

I was just in the pre-hire stage. A disorderly conduct was on my record from three years ago that I clean forgot about since at the time my Mom was dying ( I obviously had bigger fish to fry at the time) and her landlord got drunk and got in my face, promising me an asswhipping all the while knowing she was in the hospital dying. Let's just say it didn't work out as he expected...

From what I'm hearing, I don't feel it's a great loss. I did get a free DOT physical out of the deal... which I think is about a 60.00 value... LOL

I have been working on my "physical wellness" for several months now, high blood pressure, and bad left eye, and couple of surgeries on right knee.

Been to eye Dr. MD and got great glasses, and new medication for high blood pressure, which is under control now.

To start Schneider school soon.

Schneider training is great but it's too fast for lots of us. I had to drop out the day before graduation. It hasn't hindered me, other than time-wise, but then I already had my CDL. Why not think about a community college program or Sage maybe. There's lots of advice on this site about trucking schools. I think sometimes you can get a grant or scholarship maybe. Or, alternatively, a lot of trucking companies will reimburse what you paid up to a certain amount. My company will pay $100/mo. up to $3,000 total.
Good luck with it!

Yep, it is way to fast to even get used to the truck first since you have never driven anything that big, that was the reason they were going to kick out my best friend, they said he was not learning fast as they wantted him to, jeez like was like his third day in training. Well he never try getting his CDL after all this happen and gave up, but me on the other hand did try again and get my CDL like 4 years ago, but I no longer driving and I wish I could drive again. All over one accident that flipped me over at 25mph. I guess I may not able to drive again because of this accident. Folks, please watch around you and every ramp you go on. It don't take much at all just to get it started tipping over. It all happen so fast. Peace.
