I try to avoid the truckstop restaurants. They are usually over priced and of questionable quality.

I also only eat in smoke free restaurants.

Hey that's a Great idea! I keep wondering in my head how I can eat oatmeal in the morning, once i get out on the road, without having to drag out a pan and use a hotplate (then deal with dirty dishes afterwards).

I like it! Just pop it in, heat it up and top with milk. thats great.

Genius! Even at home. Can't have steel cut oats even at home in the morning take too long to cook. Great idea.

Ideas like that might get you a truckstop cooking show on cable.

I cook for the week before i go out. Pack in plastic containers, keep in my fridge and heat up in my 12v oven for dinner. Usually keep cereal bars and bananas for breakfast and keep sandwich meat in fridge for lunch. Rarely ever eat at a truck stop. I keep can soup and packaged hormel prepared dinners in truck for those times i don't make it home before my food runs out.
