Hi everyone,
I have considered moving to Salt Lake City UT, saved up enough to pay for CDL training, and try to get on with Central Refrigerated. There's always a demand for food and it's year round work. Potentially, I could end up staying with Central Refrigerated for years to come, retiring out of there. Also, during home time, I can keep the truck parked at the terminal.
Does anyone see any flaws in this?

retiring?
you're kind of putting the cart before the horse don't you think?
i'm not saying that you won't retire from there but that seems like quite a stretch. but i'm all for being proved wrong!browndawg Thanks this. -
Swift.........bzzzzzt. Every time I'm in Columbus I look over and see 1-10 trucks smashed up that weren't there before. Or I laugh at the tons of trailers they have what a mess that must be looking for a pre loaded trailer.

willing to go out for several months at a time if necessary, at the moment I don't really have a whole lot to come home toChinatown Thanks this. -
Sound good to me. Get your training completed and contract fulfilled, then move on. Make a plan, such as Holland Enterprises or Pride Transport or Lessors Inc.; some company with nice ammenties in the trucks. If you plan to live in the truck, may as well be comfortable.
