DAC is operated by HireRight. When I sent off for a copy of my DAC (from HireRight) I requested it just to see what was on it, even tho I had absolutely no violations or preventable/non-preventable incidents. But it did show the 'background check' portion of my employer's request they have HireRight perform.
My application to the employer was obviously used as a source to inquire records from my past employers, as it showed they tried calling/writing each for references & to check accuracy (start/end dates, etc) in my application. It also included my driver's license history and criminal records check. It's been awhile, but that's what I recall offhand.Sean_Reno Thanks this. -
KW Cajun pretty much covered what shows up on your DAC but you won't have to worry about it until you start working for companies that report to and use DAC (Hire Right). Even though you have not dealt with these companies yet it will still show your criminal record and mvr. This is just my experiences so far from getting my own DAC. And by the way when you do start dealing with the companies that subscribe to DAC make sure you get your report ever so often and check it to make sure of what has been reported to them is accurate and if not dispute it. I have seen guys that their cdl schools even reported to DAC. To me it is just not a very good system because the companies can put anything they want on it and it is hard for you to get it corrected. Just my 2 cents.

It will show your overall mvr record and background. As a recruiter that uses DAC it's great because you can see the work history. I agree to always check what it is when you leave.

One thing that will show up is your driving record.
Now if, and I say IF any employer you had in the past, is a member of HireRight(DAC), then they may have reported to them. DAC (HireRight) IS NOT specific to the trucking industry. Many fast food chains, dealerships (new cars/used cars) for instance, and many other industries (retail for instance), can be a member of HireRight.
Now, IF any employer you had IS a member of HireRight, and they do pre-screening and random drug testing, and alcohol testing THAT TOO will be on your DAC report.
HireRight (DAC) is the most known of the background checking companies, but certainly NOT the only one out there. Some information may or may not be shared with HireRight and the others.
Hope this helps.Sean_Reno Thanks this. -
I don't think your Dac record starts unill you officially start with a trucking company then the fun begins, lol.

What does the acronym DAC mean? I know what it is but what is it called? Driver accountability something or other? I googled it and can't find anything.
