my other options I have after I will have 12 mo.I am not going to mention the Co I work for because they gave me an opportunity and hired me with no experience at all and for that reason I will respect them and not comment, but I have the strong feeling I can do better as money wise.I am located in NJ.So far I talked with JB Hunt,Hartland Express,.They have terminals close to my house.Any advice in my hunt will be apreciated.
    Thanks

Magnum LTD. They don't have a terminal in Jersey but I know they can get you home. I'm currently on a San Antonio to Burlington, NJ. Don't waste your time on another bottom feeder company!

I'd avoid heartland (heartless) express, and JB hunt both. Are you looking for something local right? Or still oTr?

    bigtruckin89 and joseph1135 Thank this.

I'm from New Jersey too, born and raised down in Mays Landing. I've been with J&R Schugel for a year and a half and I'm happy here. We have lots of freight to and from NJ, so getting home on time is never a problem. Miles are there too, 3,000+ miles a week is very attainable. APUs on every truck. Equipment maintenance is top notch.

    Also, check out these outfits:
    Holland Enterprises
    Lessors Inc
    Big G Express
    HO Wolding
    Bay & Bay

I'll second interplanetary Janet's comment to a T. I've Heard nothing but good things about Magnum companies. All of these places I listed are substantially better companies than heartless or JB hunt (I always change that H in hunt to a C) and they will hire you from NJ. Good luck in your job searches.

Lessors will run you all 48 states, APU/inverter on every truck, raises every 6 months with no cap.

Holland runs coast to coast with paid satellite TV/ radio and APU

Schugel runs primarily east of the Mississippi with some west coast thrown in, APU/inverter on every truck.

All the companies Killa states are great companies to run for. Heartland will starve you out and so will JB.

I agree with the Holland recommendation too. I checked into them in case I needed a "Plan B". They pay less than Magnum but have a lot more toys on their trucks...
