Honestly? Its about 100K more expensive then a regular tractor. Seems like the truck payment would be eating too much into the profits? Plus with something that size are you not limited in the size of a trailer you can pull? Weight of the trailer? I guess if you were an o/o husband/wife team you have your house on wheels......but still $250K is a lot of money.

Hauling aircraft engines primarily. These, I assume, are owned by old truckers who won the lottery or otherwise saved wisely, and want to continue to truck in style. I doubt many of those driving these things have truck payments.

    Kind of like these ..

I've seen similar hauling for Atlas, and a couple of other moving companies. I've also seen one hauling his own 53' Dryvan.

Then I did see one in Indiana hauling a 20' FEDEX trailer. I had to LOL at that one. The truck was longer than what it was pulling! :biggrin_2559:

People that do HHG and especially trade shows, where you are going to be parked for a week or so waiting for the show to end so you can load the exhibit up & move it to the next site.

Also big strap Mercer step deck o/o's that have had their minds so corrupted by all that kool-aid that they believe they need a bigger sleeper than anybody else.

Some of the expediters have those running around. More popular with that group is the 120" or 96" sleeper straight trucks.
