    im 39 and want to go trucking but I want to know if a car accident I got into will hold me back still waiting on a police report and I haven't received a ticket that I know but I had the accident in Oklahoma city on last Friday afternoon and the lady stopped in front of me when I was slowing down from 55 and I hit her suv from behind will that stop companys from hiring me

    Have you taken some time to call and inquire directly with prospective employers about this? I just have this idea in my head that getting information straight from the source might be a good idea, especially when it comes to something like a major life decision (for example, changing your career when you're pushing 40).

    Like post#3 says its best to call the employer and ask then.They all have different requirements.From a drivers point of view I do see this might put a damper on getting hired if it was your fault.You sure the lady didn't just slow down rather then stop?
