Starting to think I need to follow the mechanic's advice and drop this unit off a cliff; I woke up to what you see in the linked album.
In the event you can't see very well, 2/4 pins are barely locked into position. The other two are hiding behind the slider, seems the holes aren't matching up right.
This thing is going back to the distribution center, but do I need to get this fixed before it leaves out under my care tomorrow night?
If it were me, and up to me, I'd have it fixed prior to leaving. Partly looking into what I need to do so that I don't have another wreck load, and just FYI this is the exact same trailer I was having so many problems with yesterday. Sworn I got all of them fixed.

With the Trailer Brakes set, rock the Trailer back and forth, the Pins will Line Up and Lock.

It may work "itself out" if the springs are good and there is not some significant issue with the mechanism. If it's heavily loaded it may not want to work right for you, but if empty try getting the trailer at a slight offset from straight, then lock the trailer brakes and work it back and forth, then try the other direction if that doesn't work. But if the spring or other part of the mechanism is broke, it will probably have to go to a trailer repair shop.
Whether you pull it or not is a decision you're going to have to make based on the situation.Vilhiem Thanks this. -
Yeah. I had never heard that 2/4 was good. Rock that baby hard. Get er done!!

It looks like to me you just have to get rolling in reverse and then pop the red button and let things straighten out.

Yeah, I thought I remembered hearing during CDL training but all four had to be locked in. I had seen a few places here on the forums in the recent posts, and I will go find them soon, but said two out of four was okay. They went unchallenged and unquestioned.
Yes they could've been kidding, but it didn't seem like you're kidding mood. I did try shaking them somewhat, though not very hard.
Thanks for the quick replies, and I'll be sure to change my post accordingly. I hate to spread misinformation. -

And yes I know it can be a case of the blind leading the blind. I've come to learn though, at least here at this forum as evidenced above, if bull spit is said then Bull spit is usually called out.
