Some of you may remember my story. I had talked about going to a company sponsored school as well as jumping on with a company that would train me. Well after hearing and talking to a company in my hometown about driving, I decided to go ahead and get my license myself. I had another company that let me train in their truck and use it for the test. I passed this morning and walked out with a shiny new CDL.
On a side note, wondering if anyone has heard about the rules changing in July. Women in the DMV today were telling me I picked a good time to take my test.
Putting my app in Monday at a ready mix company in town that also has a lot of tractor trailers. Have a couple of hook ups there so looks like I may be pulling a frameless dump soon.
