Most likely you will find something. But you have really restricted your options...wanting local.

Unfortunately you have had 3 "incidents" within the past 3 years. Not good in the eyes of safety or insurance.

Let me break it down for you, and what it means to major companies.

Traffic Control --- Run a red light maybe ??? Doesn't matter what it was, that's the way it was perceived.

Impeding the flow --- worth 3 points now days, with a suspension right around the corner if you get caught again. Most companies are being told to avoid these drivers. Too costly a risk. Might lose them within the first year of employment.

Accident --- Avoidable or not is risky investment. Insurance stats plainly show that 4 & 5 year drivers are the largest segment of "major" accident victims/perps.

The above traffic violations show a pattern of risk taking, which throws you into that list of "avoid" for insurance purposes.

Recent changes in the laws regarding CDL holders are causing many drivers to lose their driving privileges for a few months to a year. They did not provide a "grace period" or "start here" point for enforcement of the new laws. Judges/States are simply looking at their records, and suspending their rights to drive.

I have heard that there are some smaller companys that run regional and local dedicated runs that do not check the DAC reports.
They are usually a company that started out with one or two trucks then got a contract with a larger company and expanded.

Some of these will have benifits and some will not. It depends on the size of the company. The good thing you will find with these though is that the owner was usually the driver that started the company.
