On the application when you apply for a job, it asks you to list all tickets you've had within the last 3-5 years.
I have always done traffic school, online classes, anything I've needed to do to keep the tickets off of my record.

When I pull my record from the DMV, it doesn't show anything on there....

so my question is; what are these companies using to look up your driving record to verify what you have stated is true ? Is it the same one I can personally get from the dmv? Or do they have another way of getting it?

    thanks for any answers.

I thought they use your S.S. # and DL # to get your abstract. Could be wrong though.

there is a standard copy and a court copy. The court copy will show all tickets, supervision, and traffic school. It is only available to you and the court system. However I have had potential employers ask me to bring them a court copy, not sure if that is legal or not

usually it's just mvr. if it shows nothing. then you got nothing to tell.

i've never been asked for court copy. and i'm not wasting my time unless it was a really good paying job.

of course, we with cdl's, aren't allowed classes anymore. we get, we keep.

Never list anything that is not on your DMV report. Virginia uses a 7 year report.

What state? In wisconsin, court records are Public Record. The state set up a website to collect ALL court records. Each county has to post tbier own records. Google CCAP.

If other states don't do this, noone can expect a driver to get court record from every county in every state that does not.

Your regular drivers record only shows convictions, but you better believe that the state keeps track of all tickets and acciddents wheather you are convicted or not
