Has anyone seen this on HLN news, they apparently have been testing for a while. Although it is self driven there is still an operator on board.

I think thats just a waste of resources and the apocalypse of trucking as it is.

I just saw it on the news myself, at the doctors office.

frankly, I do not like this, and see no reason for it. There still has to be a driver at the wheel.
My question(s) however, does the truck need to be drug tested?
Does the truck need a sleep apnea test?
If the truck screws up, who gets the ticket, the DAC reported, and the PSP/CSA points?
Who do the cops cite in case of an accident?
I think this opens up a can of way too many worms. -
If the sensors go by the lines it see's on the road what happens when someone goes out there with a can of paint in the middle of the night and makes the lines run off the road or into another lane .. hmmmm ?

I say, but the robotic trucks on railroad tracks. God only knows the miles and miles of abandoned tracks.

Will the Trucks go get bathes on it's own? Companies always hire the best hygiene personal and should be a mandatory destination. Have to keep company reputations !
