Need your advise ASAP!! I posted this thread in the wrong part of the web site first so I am doing it in the proper one now. Sorry for the mistake. I would like the opinion of you guys yet again. Some of you may remember that I had a reckless driving on my record. I was taking a kid home in my car who went into a seizure. I ran a red light to get him to the hospital that was 1.9 miles away. You folks told me to get this fixed before I moved forward with my career. I did what you said and The solicitor reduced it to failing to obey a traffic signal. So here I am with that issue cleared up and I need to know what to do. I called Maverick back and they said that everything is now fine and they can get me to there school in about 5 weeks. Schneider said they can get me to there school on the 6th of October and I would drive there Bulk Tanker trucks. I also put in a app. with Driver Resource. They said so far they can get me with P.A.M and USA and I would start training in about the next 2 weeks. I ask now ask you out of those what do I do. I do need to start working ASAP. My job that I have now is seasonal and is ending next week so I need to move and move fast. I don't want to screw up but am in a hurry. I look forward to hearing from you folks real soon.

finances good advice - work on getting cashflow started asap. - then work on maintaining your finances... always have enough put back so that you do not enslave yourself. It took me a few years to finally get this concept thru my head. all the while you are working and building practical experience - try and put back 10% at a minimum in an account not easy for you to get to when you have a "whim". having 30-40k in a general savings account gives you the parachute you need in life to take some time off when a job fails or worse. -m

Do you know how bad Schneider really is? I figure that it is somewhere between the two extremes I hear on this site.

all companies of that "caliber" are good to start out with some guys make careers out of "starter" companies others like myself used them as stepping stones... the one thing to keep in mind is that you do not want to jump from company to company if you are not moving up... swift to jb makes no sense yet guys do it all the time... trade one level of company to look for another. I know gyys that went from OTR big companies to drive locals or trash trucks in their area - better pay and home daily... what do you want? what is important? - then look at the options you have
