| Give me the big miles as long as they pay.

| i will post the teachers answer to night so i guess. if I'm a company driver: it does not matter. but as an o/o it depends on what it pays..... |
| |||
| It depends on alot of things. Where is the load going. Is it all drop and hook. How far do you have to deadhead to get the load/s. How about waiting time at both ends. What about the time/s of day and traffic getting to the shippers and receivers. Typically most drivers want the longers runs so they dont have to deal with all of this which can be time they are not getting paid for. |

| thats a good answer rockee i like that one . that must y why he told us to think about it. thank you guys for taking the time.. I started school last night # road master . tonight is the wiz quiz. |

| With all things being equal .. <=== (the key word is equal) you take the 2000 mile run. you have 4 or 5 day to get there. drop your load , send in your paper work . you will get paid in 4 or 5 days. the 500 mile run, you drop your load, send in you paper work. and so his point is that you can turn around your paper work quicker. And to the point of waiting most of the time you have a time to dock..... just like Wal-mart DC 300-700 trucks a day. don't be late...... |
