Any advice on tankers?

Greetings: I just graduated from a CDL school and am interested in driving tankers. I'd appreciate any guidance that drivers' with tanker experience can give. Also, I thought I saw a thread on tankers--I think a driver explaining why he loved driving tankers, but can't find it now? Can anyone direct me to it or any other thread already on here about tankers? Thanks.

If you want to see some info on gasoline tankers we had a great discussion over on another forum. Check out under "Good & Bad Trucking Companies" and go to "Motor Carrier Questions-The Inside Scoop". Go down into the forum and find "Fuel Hauling Info Please". It was on my second page.

Schneider and CTL will hire tanker drivers out of school .Superior Carriers will hire you out of school if you graduated in the top 3% of your class .

Superior Carriers has a terminal in Atlanta. I started with them right out of school about 9 months ago. Here is a thread documenting my experiences:

Ctl doesnt pay well at all, i checked them out myself. Schneider bulk pays ok and they are starting to haul fuel now. I would go for superior. They pay you for everything and they will train you if you graduated in the top 3% of your class as the other driver stated. Most fuel transport companies require 2 years exp.
