| Freightliner M2? I recently started working with a video company and I drive non-cdl since we are under the weight requirements. I drive 1 ton Fords with trailers and a 16' Freightliner M2 and 24' Freightliner M2 box trucks. The Freightliners have about 3500 miles and 25000 miles on them respectively. They both wander and it takes a lot of attention to keep them in their lanes. Do big rigs wander and need a lot of correction also? Thanks. Robert  |

| dunno many factors effect handling.... for my type of equipment it depends on the setup and jifflock.. pulling doubles with a jifflock gets a bit ugly if the units do not track... I know sometimes it is something as simple as air pressure in your steers - or minor allignment issues... I assume your trucks are straight box trucks - and would then also assume that you may have allignment issues. even new trucks need checked - see if your company will have it looked at by a reputable allignment shop. |

| Could be a problem with the air-ride (if so equipped); freightliners can get very touchy if the bags aren't filling correctly, or inflated completely. Latanea is right: bring the problem to your company's attention, and have them get it checked and fixed. |

| air if he is driving a non cdl rig - then there will probably not be an air system... (no air brakes etc etc thus no air bags) he states a 1 ton - dunno - one thing also could be too much unbalanced weight (side to side) or even so much on the tongue that hius steers are lifting... |

| Is is a box truck with air brakes/bags. Its under the 26k rating so a cdl is not required. My company does want us to have our CDL-B since we do rent trucks at times over the 26k so I am looing into that. I also drive 1-ton Fords but they drive fine. The Freightliners drive just as bad empty as loaded. Thanks for your responses. I will get with the service dept. Robert |
