Casino Stops

How are some of the casino's for resting stops ? Other than parking a mile away. It seems they have plenty of parking available for trucks. Anyone have any favorites or ones to stay away from ? I've only experienced Ca, Nev, and Iowa , Nevada being the best access and plenty of rest area's. (??????????????????)

i was suprised this thread had no responses,
i enjoy stopping at a casino or casino truck stop. you have to limit yourself when you go of course. i really enjoyed the seven feathers casino in canyonville, or. on I-5. it's a nice casino and a shuttle will come to pick you up by calling on cb channel 3. the petro in sparks nevada has a little casino too. it's called the alamo. i stopped at the hollywood casino in newmexico on I-25 i forgot the name of the town....something with an indian name i know. there are a few small ones on I-10 in louisiana. i think duson, la. casino/truckstops can be a nice break from the road.

There are a few out on I-40 in New Mexico that are good to stop at. It has been a little while since I have been out that way so I can't remember the names off hand.

I rolled by there (Seven Feathers) last week on my way to Tacoma and decided not to stop. There was a lot of construction going on between the casino and the truck stop, so I decided to just keep going on to Eugene. My mom used to be a cashier there when she lived in Oregon, so I knew it well enough.

Since then, I learned that I can make about as much money playing poker as I can driving a truck, so I've been trying to find trucker-friendly poker houses in order to "double" my income!

Is Seven Feathers a poker house too?

I have stopped at many casinos over the years when I traveled cross country. I think its a good option for parking if you need to rest and the restaraunts are always cheap compared to a truckstop anyway. Other benefits would be buying "used" stuff such as tools, cb's, load locks, tv's, coolers, etc from drivers that "lost" their money gambling. A bit opportunistic I know but nevertheless a great way to pick up stuff cheap!

My Favorite casino stops are I-80 in Wendover, NV you can park at the pilot and walk across the street to the Red Garter and show your CDL get a free 5 bucks to play, and also take a shot at winning a Peterbuilt in the parking lot, the rainbow Casino is right next door they have the Best Crab Legs great breakfast and dinner buffet

There is also Boomtown I-80 Exit 9 or 4 i cant remember its in reno, they have a shuttle that comes to the truck stop to pick up drivers but the casino is just across the street i won quite a bit there about a year ago

I used to enjoy going to boomtown in Biloxi, MS, but i dont know if that casino is open again... but u used to be able to park at the pilot and they would send a shuttle to pick you up and take you to what ever casino you wanted, they had a awesome buffet as well lol..

I enjoy playing video black jack tip the bartender 10-20 bucks and just keep the free drinks rolling lol last time i was in biloxi i was so trashed i couldn't tell which truck was mine lol thank god for 3 day lay overs hahah
