Packing list for Orientation-need advice

I'll be leaving tomarrow for my orientation and then 6 weeks with a trainer. Packed my stuff and followed the packing list, that was sent to me by my new employer. Oboy, ended up with a a big duffle bag, one small bag, my brief case and my purse, all loaded with stuff. Packed 7 days of clothes, sleeping bag, toiletries, laundry soap and paperwork as instructed. This sure seems like a lot of stuff. I'm thinking, getting a female trainer, and if she packs like me, we'll really be loaded down in the cab. Is this how much stuff is usually taken?

Expect to use everything you bring, plus about 50 more items.

Space will be at a premium, based on your trainer, and the amount of "junk" he/she may have on board.

Personally, I preferred that new drivers bring everything in smaller luggage. It just made it easier to deal with. Large suitcases and duffel bags usually wind up riding in the bunk, then being brought to the front every night to make room for you to sleep. Smaller bags are much easier to store underneath the lower bunk or in side boxes.

If you have a female trainer.... lord help you guys. Rest assured she will have more than enough stuff for both of you. I base this purely on my past experience of having my wife on board with me, and me being relegated to a couple of cubby holes

That is why females like to pull 53's. More storage area. Now where we gonna put the freight??? Sorry ladies, I will behave now!
