My sleep doctor said I may have taken 5-10 years off my life expentency by not sleep properly. Your body needs rest. Have your father try a Nasal pillow called Swift 2 it is much easier to sleep with, he'll probaly have to sleep with a strap around his head to kep his mouth shut, but it works real good. Plus theres a special pillow he can buy that allows his tubing to go down into cutouts on the pillows so he can even sleep on his side, it's awesome, cost about $60.00 but worth every dime.

Good Luck
I'm going to pass this along to him Vulcan. Thank you very much for that info.

Wouldn't you be tired with sleep apnea? I'm usually not tired enough to sleep.

Some people only require a few hours of sleep. My hubby used to run on 5-6 hours of sleep all the time, couldn't sleep any longer. I think that its just your own personal needs as to when you wake up.

But if you are worried about apnea, you can simply ask your doctor. He will know, more than likely if you have it by asking a few questions.

Not really, I've never taken a nap a day in my life.

That's the problem I had when i was doing the nightime linehaul thing, that is if it got too late in the morning before I went to bed.

If I can't fall asleep before daylight I usually give it up. By night I'm still restless and can't sleep till late. But then I might actually sleep more than 5 hours.
