I am about to start school on 10/29 (Roadmaster)
They keep pushing Warner and US xpress but based on what i have seen on here i dont think ill be going with them.
I was thinking more along the line of Schneider,Roehl or Crete
Would these companies be a good idea for a newbie?
Any advise greatly appreciated.

well make a list of the things you would like a trucking company would do for you and do a lot of research about that company if a trucking company gets trashed left and right that is a good reason this company is not good for you and never believe the rosey and sunshiny picture the recruiters tell you
-
almost any company schools push there geting a cut,Do u know when u get a load ,u have to look for a trailer?be very careful and good Luck
-
Yea! Don't believe everything the recruiters say. They will tell you what they think you want to hear. Good luck!

I signed up with Swift, but came here and heard nothing but bad things about Swift, same with CR England. Heard a lot of good things about Schenider, so I just signed up with them, passed my pre-employment, now will be going with them.

I would go to schnieder if they took solo's from vegas.

Roehl or Crete are the better ones you mentioned. You might also consider Watkins Shepherd or any number of smaller companies in your area that do not hit the big radar screen. Some of them you might find with a bit of research are a better company to work for and may also train. Its worth a check. -
I believe GTS aka Gainey is also a company that accepts student drivers. They are always pushing a safety first agenda in their recruiting speeches and pay the drivers for safety classes from what I hear.

I'd have to put my vote in for Interstate Distributor Co. and GTI. Interstate has been really good for us so far.

How are the miles at Interstate?
