Anyone start at Roehl's RTDC school?

Make that RDTC school, sorry.

That is where I am pointed if the DOT physical works out. It is not a given because I am in my 50's. Hopefully it will be OK. I am 1/2 way through (1000 miles in 2 days) a 2000 mile trip (then back in 2 days) to see how my driving stamina is. So far so good. I am writing this from daytona Beach! The storm is missing us BTW.
I have to say daytona45 and others sharing their beginning experiences has been helpful in making this decision.
I saw a few Roehl trucks on the way down ( 81s, 77s, 26e, 95s) and I will need to get used to being passed. Their trucks are governed at 65 MPH and EVERYONE was passing them! Better for safety amd MPG at 65 MPH though. Sort of like having a sailboat among power boats!

As I mentioned elsewhere I passed my DOT and permit tests. I am scheduled for 11/26 in Marshfield for RDTC.
I am excited and a little nervous.
I have changed careers a few times, but this is a BIG change.

Sorry, I see so many names and faces on this board, but I think I would have remembered seeing that. I start Dec 2, so if the classes last 3 weeks I'll probably see you there. Not real sure how that works, different classes going on at the same time or something. I'm going for flatbed, otherwise I would have been in your class. It's definitely a huge career change for anyone, but I'm much more excited than nervous.

Good luck. If our classes cross paths, I'm Craig.
