I,m now doing Monday morning math

Ok, yea I'm stupid. I started into this thinking I'd be driving. Every time I turn a new page in the company handbook, I'm getting something new to consider. "Be on time for your Monday morning pickup" No one wants to give you numbers, so I'm thinking of my own. General company start time,,, 7:00 am. Be there in time to have your 10 hour sleeper time as they open the gate. 9:00pm Sunday Drive time to get there,,, .5 -?,,, how far are they likely to send you for a first morning load? .25-.5 to actually get to the truck, wake up and move, a real pre-trip. (anyone really do that?,) I mean come on, the school pre-trip really didn't check anything, just said what to look at, and that took 20 minutes. The company requirements are a complete overhaul with brake adjustments and trailer axle torsion adjustments(when they said "you need a tool kit" they weren't kiddin) , hub oil fill and all fluid fills. .5 hour in the dark? No way. No one has any idea where I can look to find place to park my "supposedly" take home truck that can't drop the trailer and has to parked in a secure location. Minimum .5 just to get to the truck from my house if I'm lucky,,, with G knows how much a month to pay some idiot not to tow it away. Most of all these "hire new drivers" don't have terminals in the same state. How on earth does this really work? They say home weekends,,, is that only long enough to let the seat cool and to start next weeks road plan?
