Home on Weekends

I've noticed that some drivers place a high priority on being home on the weekends. Personally, I'd rather work weekends and be home during the week. Less traffic on the roads on the weekends and less people in my fishing hole during the week. I'm guessing that the industry is geared towards week day deliveries. Are there a lot of drivers out there that work weekends?

There are plenty that run weekends, it's just a matter of setting your preferences and making that known to your dispatcher. Most companies will be overjoyed to have someone working weekends, since so many don't want to. For me, it comes and goes. I have weekends where I work all weekend, and take a break during the week, and weekends off. But, when I work weekends, my pay goes up to a higher rate, so that is some encouragement as well.
