DL suspension

I had a speeding ticket about 2 years ago maybe a little longer, I had my CDL suspended for failure to appear in court, also child support wanted 5 percent of what I owed them to release my license. I payed both $100 for the speeding ticket/failure to appear and $895 to child support. Now im just waiting about a week so they recieve the payments and Ill get my CDL again.
My question is once i get my license back am I still in bad shape to get into trucking or do I have hope? Or is there a time frame between a re-issue of a license and when I can start on my class A?
One more question, Im currently employed by Wal-Mart as a supervisor im in charge of recieving hence where I got the idea to get into driving. Ive spoken to a few drivers but would like more opinions or facts about driving for Wal-Mart. Any info appreciated thanks.

Suspension FOR ANY REASON has a detrimental affect on a CDL. I BELIEVE the Federal Law restricts your ability to get/renew a CDL with-in thirty-six months of having a suspension.

Every application I filled out said three years, and I filled out a lot of app's. Insurance is the problem I believe, they usally don't want to insure people until said party has had a streak of good driving with no suspensions or anything of that nature. You might have to wait it out for the whole 3 years "from when you were sentenced not charged, I found out that personally". but you never know. put in applications for several company's and go from there, if you really want to drive though, be patient and it will work out for you, it might just take a while. And keep your driving record skweeky clean to prove that you can hold a valid license for a long period of time with no problems. hope this helps and good luck.

You can legally get a CDL with a non moving suspension.

If you just recently paid the ticket, the clock started ticking then. IE If the ticket was issued 2 years ago, and you paid it yesterday, the ticket is now 1 day old. You'll still need 35 months and 29 days for it to drop off. Or at least thats how it works in my state.

If your serious about driving, check with a company recruiter for information regarding your chances of being hired. Then check at your DMV for a CDL.
