I screwed up

Ok so i took my final test with the state to get my CDL. I past the pre trip barely i got a full pretrip, should have studied more. I almost aced my field test, that was easy. I totaly bombed my road test, i don't know what happen. I was nervous as crap, i though i was going to puke in the truck.lol I am the only income in my house and i had to pay cash for this, all i could think about was i couldn't afford to fail. I cut a turn too short and ran up on the curb, i tried to down shift from 7 to 1 (I don't know what was going on in my head ) I know how to do this i've done great the last few trips out in class. So now i have to retest when they call me i hope that i can pass this time. Ok my venting is over. thanks for reading

Don't feel too badly. Most people screw up their first test. I messed up on mine and failed the two parrel parks. Got it on the second. You'll do fine the next time. Good luck.

Do you have to pay for the second test?

Howard

Thumbs up

7th to 1st. Hope you didn't make it. Don't feel like the lone ranger. Next time just pretend your by yourself or like speakers do that the instructor is naked. Hope it's pretty she not Hogzilla. Good way to relax is to breath deep through your nose and exhale slowly through your mouth. Slow down your breathing and your body will follow. Squeeze ball will work to. Just crush the heck out of it. Lots of golfers and ball players do this. You'll do fine next time.

Well one thing that was against me is that the girl that tested before me to an hour and a half to do the p/t and TRY to get it in the 90 degree. She finally just got out of the truck and handed the tester the keys then when to the office yelling that she wasn't taught right and that the tester was a dumb redneck. I don't think he was too happy when it was my turn. After the 7th to 1st incident he told me to pull over that he was driving back.lol

i guess i was lucky....usa truck sent me to school in moore,ok (and i live in west virginia) i was their for a total of 14 days. within 3 days i had already taken my permit and passed everything with a 100%..........then 10 days later i was on the range in the yard sleeping under a extra trailor the school had...............the owner of the school came out and asked what i was doing (after he woke me up lol) and i told him they werent teaching me nothing and i was bored so i took a nap....lol he was pretty mad and called me a joke and he personally wanted to give me a road test to see if i could pass his!! needless to say i did.. so he put me on the list the next day to go take my road test and all the other test's that go with it. i passed my test's with a 98% the first time around...................what i didnt tell anyone at the school i use to pressure wash coca cola trucks and pepsi trucks and those guys are the one's who taught me how to back, drive, bling side and all that fun stuff.lol funny how life turns out

Don't beat yourself up over it, it is very common to get nervous and not pass the first time. The next time that you go, you will be past all your nervousness and sail right through the test.

It helps if you try to have fun. Make it a game. This theory has helped get through some of the scariest things a person can think of.
