Shak'n & Rattl'n

I'm driving a bob-tail (propane) and I'm getting alot of wheel hop when I brake. I've tried setting the tag-axle pressure ranging from 20-40, but doesn't seem to make a difference. They do eventually load-up, but I'm thinking there maybe a more serious problem. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Okay, take this advice lightly since I've only heard this tip from experienced drivers, but that may be caused by brakes out of adjustment.

wheel hop

Brakes out of adjustment or warped drums can cause the same thing....
Check brake adjustment first.....

Thanks, I guess I'm getting lazy as my truck's been getting serviced regularly by mechanics both in-house and out. I yanked on em not long ago and they were within tolerence. Co-drivers really seeme to think it's all about tag-axle pressure though. But you may be right...!

Just to up-date... The slack adjusters are automatic, and in good condition (no missing or loose parts). But after turning the tag axles up to 45 psi, I can now brake just fine. Others have told me that's too high, expecially in slippery conditions. But it's the only thing that works...?
I'm happy... i guess.
