i probably need to decide on a good trucking company i know its the drivers choice but if you could help me out with some advice? here is my choices, PAM Transport, Decker, or Usa Transport which 1 would be the best training and give me good mileage

It's hard isn't it? I'm in the same position. It's seems like there are so many companies and everyone has something bad to say about each of them. You don't know which opinions are valid and which are from people who maybe have thin skin.

well if it was me to start all over and do it again.. i would stay far enough away from the big company's like swift werner cr england.... i did cr england thing for one day longer than my contract was for there school 1 year and 1 day.. the contract was for 1 year, but i did a extra day to be sure.. then i high tailed it out of there did not look back..... but if i was to do it all over again... my 3 choices would be: 1st crete 2nd tmc (for flat bed) and then 3rd would be roehl for flt bed and dry box

I know what you mean. I actually drove for Swift about 7 or 8 years ago. Went with my trainer for six weeks. They seemed to treat him fine. But when I got my turck and went solo it was a horrible machine. And I am not a picky guy nor do I complain about very much. I understand that you have to put up with somethings and grin and bear it. Ecspecially when you start. But right away I could tell there was something wrong with this truck. It wouldn't stop right. The trailer always felt like it was slipping out from under me at the least bit of turn. And started smelling diesel really bad. I calling and telling the people at the terminal for two weeks and they just kep telling me it was my imagination and kept telling me to go on and deliver loads and they would talk about looking at the truck later. At the end of two weeks the guy on the phone started getting really nasty with me until he finally gave me a load going to the Northeast(again) and during a slushy rain storm the truck was fish tailing down the highway so bad that I could see the word swift in my side view mirror. Lost all braking. Went to pull off an exit it nearly slide right through an intersection. It was like driving on solid ice. When I finally pulled it over, after yelling at me and telling me to deliver the load, threatening my job and saying I'm lying about my truck he finally sent a mechanic out who them told me that the truck was a wreck and that no one checked it out before giving it to me because when he was under it he noticed many things that were sever saftey issues. The problem at hand with the truck was that the fuel line had desinigrated and was spewing diesel fuel under the drive wheels and trailer wheels. The mechanic said he would not drive that truck another mile without a full safety inspection. The guy on the phone, still insisted take the load on and he would do that later. I drove the truck back to their terminal and quit. I promised my father that he wouldn't have to worry about me driving anymore. He's now passed. I kept my promise. And I'd like to give it another try. That Swift terminal has since closed down, so I don't know if it was just that one or not. It seems every company has complaints. The bigger the company, the more drivers, the more complaints. I am looking at PAM. I know they say that you may not get many miles there but I do not have a family or mortgage or anything. It sounds like they may make a smooth transition for me back into trucking for good this time. I understand they are a starting company. The only thing I am worried about is trying to get a job after them should I decide to leave as they run automatics and not standard transmissions.

if i had to do it over again i would go LTL, probably CFI-Conway.
