| timberwolf, The cutoff for BP is 140/90, as far as if understand it, as long as you can control it with meds and those meds dont make you sleepy, I think you are going to be fine. Good luck.

| your numbers are great(normal) You will get the 1yr cert which is fine. Maintaining a relationship with your doctor and will help spot any issues that may creap up.Best of luck |

| ...or not. I have high BP and I have a two year card. I think its up to the docs descrection if they want to give you a 2 year, 1 year, or less card. One of these days, Im even going to take my meds. |

| I've been worried about the same thing. My bp is really inconsistent, even with meds. My physical is Jan. 3rd, so I'm going to go to my medical center today to have it checked so if they need to up my dosage, they can do it now. |

| I think that while your BP may be an issue, I think its more important to them that you are under a docs supervision for it and are getting it under control compared to having high BP and the last time you went in was when your heart stopped. |

| I don't know... I've heard of people getting to the company (or the company's school) and not passing and being sent home. That would stink! After quitting your job and everything else you go thru, trying to make this happen. I went in and got mine checked today, it was 134/81. The doc said it's fine, just start walking everyday and that should help lower it. I stopped on the way home and bought some "lite salt"....gonna do whatever I can to make sure I'm not sent home! |

As far as maintaining BP...cut out the salt entirely. Lite salt is still....salt. While salt adds flavor, various spices can do the same thing without adding sodium. Avoid canned foods (soups, veggies...etc), as well as frozen pizzas, dinners...basically anything that is frozen. Going out to restaurants is also bad becuase much of their stuff is frozen / premade...hence high sodium. Make food fresh from scratch. Cut out pop. |
