I am a newbie with all my endorsements, also female. Do you think Superior would be a job for a woman? I'd really appreciate your feedback, wsyrob, since you are in their training program now.
Thanks

In case it has not been mentioned - position the seat so your leg is straight when you hold the clutch in.

Never thought I had a problem w/ knees, but learned the hard way that mine will flat give out after sitting for so long (stepped out of truck & crumbled). Now I hold on until sure.....but guess the spine is a wreck too so takes 50 steps to straighten! Nothing like getting old Some joint supps (I use ones geared for horses but think they're all similar) might help too.

Hey thefuture,

Doesn't Sage and DTS cost about the same? How did Sage fall through? Also, When were you thinking of starting DTS, and who is the company that wants to hire you?

Thanks,
Maddog2020

There are women drivers at Superior. The most strenuous thing we do is drag around and load 20 foot long 3 inch hoses. They probably weigh 40-50 lbs. They can get a little heavy when dirty and capped, and have to be loaded into the tubes or open top carriers on the side of the tank. Tightening up the clean out caps on top and the dome lids gets a bit dicey in freezing rain as well. The rest is just truck driving ,customer relations and common sense. Also being in Kingsport you are in a good location. That is where the training school is located.

If you are interested call the terminal manager, set up an interview and go see them. Dress professional. They are looking for people who want a career without a history of job hopping. Hiring decisions are based on terminal needs. BOL
