That sucks. I guess they would have to be totally loose leaf then.

No news is good news huh? I'm sitting at the Pilot at exit 35 on I-85 in SC... watching youtube videos to amuse myself.

I found this vid and it makes me want to get mine out. I've got an '88 all tricked out for the dragstrip. Ain't nothin' like the sound of open pipes on a Vmax.

Yep, I've got an 88 that I've had since it was new. Sadly, since I moved south and had no inside storage, it's sitting behind my house collecting dirt and rust... makes me sick to even look at it, knowing that it was in pristine condition before it came down here.

Sometimes I wish someone would just steal the damn thing.

I dunno though... I always wanted to make a Vmax powered something or other. Maybe put that motor in a junior dragster.

Likewise, I wanted one since they hit the showroom in 85—I even went and test rode one. Three years later, I got my wish.

Where do you live again?

I love the power and straight line acceleration. Can't stand it when someone calls it a cruiser!

I might make ya a hell of a deal on it. I really don't have the time to get it back in shape. That, and my priorities have kinda changed now with a wife and three kids at home.

It's only got 10,000 miles on it, oil changed every 500, filter every 1000, rear end lube changed every time with the oil.

It's been sitting for almost two years outside in the elements though... I washed it up a while back and it still looks presentable, although given the near showroom condition it was in before sitting... it'll never be what it was. The aluminum has started to get spider veins in it... clutch and brake cylinders are seized. Carbs are no doubt full of junk.

And though it has a bunch of custom stuff on it... I still have all the original parts (somewhere).

Want it?

$300... come get it.

This deal stands for you only... because you know what it is and seem to have the same passion for them that I do. I'd like to see it shiny and running again. PM me if you're interested.
