I'll stick with PhotoShop! Then again, I have the whole Adobe CS3 Master Collection, which includes everything Adobe makes, thanks to my dad!

Hmm... I've been using Gimp 2.4.2 on this machine since I've had it and never noticed any slowdown. Gateway/XP/Celeron M

There are lots of different versions, one of which should be stable on your machine. Could it be you downloaded a beta version?

I very well could have. Sounds like I've got the same set up as you, but I don't remember what version I downloaded.

Um... shhhh!!! Adobe will come and break your kneecaps... unless your dad shelled out $1700 for your own licensed copy.

He won the sucker! He drives me nuts. Of all the things he passed on to me - my lack of height, bad back, etc - he didn't pass on his luck. Everytime I turn around, he's winning something! That set of programs is more like $4,000.
