I just went out and cranked mine. After the pressure built opend the tanks and bled them off. What I hate is we have the petcocks, but have the ground effects and they are a pain in the but to get to them. A Lot of trucks have chains where you can put your foot on the chain and bleed them off.

International,it should have a petcock(a stem at the back of the tank) With the petcock your suppose to open and drain out daily.this way no ice builds up over night. Atleast thats what we do every night at school. we have 1 freightliner and 5 internationals all have petcocks.

yeah we have a wire that you pull that is attached to your tanks to drain them.Turns out the knuckleheads that they sent out to replace the air governor on Saturday crossed up the lines somehow and that is why they could not get it fixed.4 times they hooked up the lines to the governor wrong. The International dealer has got the problem fixed will be back out on the road tomorrow.Wasnt to bad though i got to enjoy a few extra days with the wife and kids i am learning sometimes a little extra time with them is more important than the wages lost due to downtime

More than the money the most important thing is time with your family. Your family will remember and cherish the time you were all together. They will also remember the emptiness of you being away earning money and not being there to the detriment of your family.
