A buddy of mine is training with Werner now ! He was told the same thing about going home after the first few weeks BUT!!! its all bs! they will not let you go home unless you are traveling thru your area and can get them to drop you off. Also if you do go home you may be waiting for a week or more before you get with another trainer and then may not be as good or as bad as the first one you had. Good luck at werner but as all companies they have some major issues also. One guy I was in school with has been shut down 2 times in the past week and has only gotten 13 hours driving the week and a half he has been out. His trailer had a bad tire so he had to wait for over a day to get it fixed then when he got to NE they shut down the tractor for all 8 rear tires and he had to wait 3 days on them he is sitting in NE now hopefully to get new tires tomorrow morning.

yah, I heard the same thing about werner from the recruiter that came to my school, he said "you could be out for two weeks to six weeks its up to the trainer. If he's going home then you can go home" just dont get your hopes up about the two weeks. If you havent read it enough on this site already you will read that the recruiters are out for themselfves thats how they get paid. So they wont tell you the whole truth or story.
