If your lucky and can get home every 2 weeks is ok--but you have to think your kids are still kind of young. You may wanna check out some company's that are regional or get you home every weekend--although there is not many if you are just starting out. My baby is 14 and the only one i have that isnt grown yet--so its not an issue for me but your situation may be different. Depending on the company--there are a few that you can get home every weekend but most will want you to stay out at least 2 weeks. It just depends on how you can deal with it and how your kids can deal with being away from you. You will need to think about it before you make a haste decision. Good luck to you! |

| Roehl has several hometime options. If you live near one of their terminals, you can do a 7/7 or 7/4-7/3 option where you are gone for a week, home for a week or out a week and then home 4, out a week and home 3. I'm on Nationwide fleet and I usually run 11 out and 3 in. They are pretty good about getting you home on time, but I have had issues in the past. I have also had them deadhead me home 250 miles so I would get home on time as well when nothing was available. You don't get paid the deadhead miles home (all others you do, including coming out of the house) but at least I got home when I wanted. If you live near one of the major terminals, I heard they have a 14/7 fleet now as well.
