West Coast Student Driver Hi, I'm in San Francisco going to a school sponsored by Goodwill. It's free and in 4 weeks I'll have my class A endorsement. After reading all the posts I'm glad I didn't go through the big farm schools and get burnt with $5000 debt. Although I'm sure I'll have plenty to learn even after I get the CDL. What I am looking for is several good companies to start out with logging time and hours. Local regional and OTR. Just want good pay and a solid company for a dedicated driver. Also any advice on what to expect and what to avoid will be greatly appreciated. Thanks, ~Ari

I would check with the companies that you are interested in and make sure that they will approve of the school you are going to.

Hey Check with Watkins and Shepard. I love it here. Getting a ton of miles and I think you are within their hiring area. Give em a call and see what you think. There are a few threads in here that explain very well what they offer and what you can expect. Good luck wherever you land!
