In general, just about every carrier has a rule against it.

Every state however is different in regards to carrying a weapon in a commerical vehicle, and in most states it is illegal.

There are a few other threads on these forums discussing this topic, search around and you will find several.

There is NO FEDERAL LAW restricting the carrying of a firearm in a CMV. But there maybe LOCAL LAWS that restrict carrying in ANY vehicle.

And Company Laws that say you can't carry or have weapons on their grounds.

I believe I just learned something new . You still have local laws and the shippers and recievers and the trucking companys and of course local police to be concerned with .

As usual , a lot of fine print to be careful of while driving a truck .

Which more often then you think end up being use on their owner. A good ol` tire thumper is your best bet just take the cord off and they are legal everywhere to have in your truck.

Taser guns are illegal in certain states. Or you can own one but they can't leave your house. So what is the point for us? I have been doing some research to find what I can carry with me. I am not finding much except I can use my tools for protection. I have been looking into cattle prods. I think they should be used on humans before animals anyhow. If anyone has any ideas of what I can carry for protection please let me know.
