Get an aircard for your laptop. Sold at finer wireless phone companies everywhere.

TV, you can get a "mobile" sat set up. But the cost is very high. And your company may not allow it's installation.

Videos are going to be the thing. Get ready to have the largest video collection in your home town. You can save a bit of money buying bootlegs in the truck stops, for about $5 each. Check your CB for the local dealer. ;)

Streaming video through an air card probably will not work if the truck is moving.

To my knowledge there are a couple of satellite dishes out there for in motion use. They are the KVHA7 Tracvision low profile automatic in motion system (cost about $3,000.00 plus subscription cost to direct tv). There is a new device called Vu Qube which sounds more affordable and appears to do the same thing for about $700.00 plus subscription cost to direct tv.

Both of these units are designed to be bolted onto the top of your truck or rv.

There is 1 more item I recently discovered that may be of interest to you. This is called the DirecTV Sat-Go. It appears to be a portable all in one unit with a tv and receiver built into a box about the size of a small suitcase or brief case. The price is about $1000.00.

I think if you do an internet search for any of these products you may be able to find an installer/retailer close to you and maybe better prices too.

I too have a spouse on the truck that is missing her favorite shows so I have spent alot of time on line trying to find an affordable and reliable unit for her. If you come across any other devices let me know please. So far I am leaning towards the DirecTV Sat-Go based on its portability and price.

That sat-Go sounded pretty good. But when I read more about it, it is only for use while parked. It needs a clear view to the south for the unit when you arew watching it. I suppose one day I will have to see if I can get one of those tracking antennas They do not stick up as high as they used to. But they still have those $3000 prices. Good thing she does not read this. I would not want her to think she is not worth $3000. :) But, that is not my first priority now. Did call my cell phone company and getting an aircard for the laptop.

    Thanks for the info,
    Wayne
