Hi everyone! I need a little assistance with finding out which companies are actively hiring recent graduates. All I can seem to find are people who want 3 or 6 months' experience and don't really even HAVE a training program. If anyone could let me know if there are companies that I have missed, please let me know! I am ready to get out there on the road!
Thanks.

check out cfi/conway they are over the road company. I just started with them and have been doing good.I know its tough out there without the experience.
this company will give you the extra training you will need . Then you go with a trainer over the road for about three weeks or however long it takes you to complete 7500 mile which you will do all the driving. -
Crete, Shaffer, Hunt will if the school you went to is one of the approved schools on there lists.

Thank you all for your suggestions. I have been looking through the good company/bad company posts in this forum; it's a little scary that a lot of the companies hiring new grads are also the ones getting blasted on the bad company postings! But I have put in some calls to both Conway/CFI (thanks Mikel) and Maverick so hopefully I'll hear something back soon. I had a job with PTL for like 2 weeks and it was an utter nightmare (totally not what I was promised- they pair up 2 brand new trainees, no actual trainers, for 30,000 miles at $0.18/mile and doing nothing but northeast-no way.) So now I'm trying to choose a little more carefully and find a company that doesn't blame me for only staying with PTL 2 weeks before I decided I didn't want to die during training, LOL. Thanks again everyone!

the companies who hire nubies are the big companies who can afford to self insure. So you get alot of bad and good posts about them. Any time you get that number of people you will have bad and good. Granted there is ALOT of bad. You should expect to take allot f crap for one year from one of these companies then you can go find a good job. If they told you anything other than that in school then they were lying to you. You went and got your cdl on your own so you are at least not CONTRACTED to them but still if you change jobs more than once in the first year you will have a hard time getting a good job after that year. DOn't expect to see home much this first year either

I would recomend crete, schaeffer, tmc, roehl and schneider before most and I would avoid swift, werner and CR like the plague

When I went to Roadmasters, they said they work with pretty much all of the companies that work with recent grads. That was a half-truth. Most of them were listed here, but there are others like Arrow, Falcon, BTC.
There may be some small (100-500) truck companies that don't advertise.
Then again, you may even have a friend that has a small trucking co that may be willing to let you drive for them. -
