Stopsign Just Keeping You Updated

Well I started school yesterday and everything is going great. We have been doing log books the past 2 days, and trip planning. My eyes are going buggy by the end of the day from looking at the atlas all day, however I'm having a blast. I was not even home for 20 mins today and I can't wait to go back.

I also did an online ap with roehl. I found out yesterday that I was prehired with them. So that is a big releaf that I will most likely have a job when I'm done with school. I also just sent in an ap to foster still waiting to here from them. Well I'll quit flapping my jaws and I'll try to keep you updated.

Tomrrow we do alley docking witch has me really nervous. Well have to take the dog out will keep u posted.

HELP

Well been doing ally docking the past two days not going good. The first 3 trys hit it perfect. After that keep cutting to hard right and I have to do a pull up. Any pointers would be great.

I'm still having a blast and no matter how frustrated I get I love being in that truck, and when I get home at night I can't wait till morning so I can get back in the truck. well I'll post more later.

Where are you going to school at? I start next monday at C1 in little rock AR I was supposed to start last monday but I got sick, didn't want to be fighting sinus problems while trying to learn lol
I'm pre approved with P.A.M. transport and USA truck, I'll probably go with pam.

Have you done the pre trip inspection yet? If so do they actually make you check everything listed in the manual? Seems like it would take a long time to check everything on that list, and I'm having a hard time remembering all of it.

Well...keep us updated on your training and good luck!

I'm going to school here is Escanaba MI. I have done the pretrip 4 or 5 times now and you do have to do everything on there. The way we are being taught is to just point to were the current you would be inspecting is and do the verbules. The verbules are a big thing the tester is going to want to hear what you are look for. For example I'm checking the hoses to make sure the are secure at both ends no cuts, cracks or fraying and not leaking.

I also did a pre hire with roehl and every thing came back good so today the called me and offered my a job. We set up every thing and provided I pass school I will be heading to Gary ID Aprail 20 to start oratation.

post more later.

Well school is still going great, however I can't wait to get back to work and start making money again. My ally docking has gotin alot better 3 out of 4 tries this moring I put it in on the first time and scored 0. Now on shifting I have a little problem down shifting. I think I'm reving to high and trying to put in to fast. My instructor says I should not have a problem passing the any of the skills test and I have my pretrip down pretty good. I will be testing out on march 27. I am really nervous though so hopefully that won't goff me up on test day.

Roehl had me down for april 21 as my start date. But they had some opeings and moved me up to april 7th witch really worked out for the good I need to get back to work badly.

Anybody out there starting Roehl on April 7th in Gary IN let me know.
