grants for truck driving school: where to go?

i couldnt really find what im looking for, but i was just wondering, where would be a good place to go for a grant to pay for most or all of my driving school? i really want to get going to school, and have a good one near me picked out. and its not a company sponcered school so i wont be any ones slave for a year..lol..

ive been wanting to drive for a a while, and picked up a job just driving a cargo van, making deliveries, for a company called Rush. im doing it just to see how i like it, and i Still want to go ahead and drive a truck. ive even driven for over 20 hrs straight for this job, so i know what its like for the endurance part.

but anyways, if any one could point me in the correct direction for grants, i would greatly appreciate it!

Oregon has a $2,000 grant for vets. It's called something like, Oregon Hire a Vet program. If anyone is interested, most schools' admins should know about.

Thanks for the info Helmut!!! Do you know wheres the best place of driving school here in NJ? Also I'm interested in this Daihatsu parts that we have in our shop, and wondering if theres a Daihatsu Truck? I'm a auto mechanic and planning to be a Trucker. Any idea? Thanks!!!

hi i am new to this. my name is debi an i am currently going to school here in kansas. i went thru the state an i got a PELL GRANT. they paid for everything except for my permit an lisense. my school is only 6 weeks long . i am in my 5th week coming up. you might try looking into your own state for help getting a pell grant. good luck.
i am currently looking for a company now that will hire me. i am a student an i want to take my dog with me. so if you have any suggestions i would greatly appreicate it if you no of a company that will hire me.

I sure don't. I'm only familiar with Oregon truck driving schools.
