Yea, I was going to apply for the WIA program but they don't offer in the parish were the school is and it's the only school we have here.
Get my CDL on my own without going to school?

KayDriver, You'll be fine. Just remember what I said and don't get in a hurry with none of it. Is that place going to help with job placement? If not I would probly put some feelers out and see what's available to you. Good Luck and keep us posted.

Congrat's Kay. I would do the same thing but can't find a truck to use for the test. Oh well, back to the good ol' drawing board. And that #### thing is starting to become my best friend!

sorry I haven't been on here in a while but my power supply went out on my computer.
I have been driving my dads truck the last week and it's going good. I was planning on taking my test at the end of last week but they said I had to wait 30 days after I got my permit to take the driving test. I really wanted to get it over with so I could start driving otr but I guess I'll have to wait a few weeks.
I feel pretty comfortable in the truck again after not driving one in years lol I am doing good on shifting and downshifting, haven't done a lot of backing since it's a dump truck but I get to back a little.
The first day I was nervous pulling onto the scale since they have one that only has about five inches on either side of the truck, but now it's nothing
Anyway, I just wanted to let you guys know I'm having fun and can't wait to get out there!
