Going to be hitting school soon and was wondering what has changed on the driving skills test. Last time I took the skills part they had us:

    Conduct Pre-Trip Inspection
Pull forward through a 3 cone serpentine
Back up 100 yards in a straight line
Pull back up the 100 yards and stop with back of trailer even with the last cone on the serpentine
Back through the 3 cone serpentine
90 degree park the rig to the drivers side
    Parallel park the trailer
    Unhook and Hook
Then hit the road for a little bit

That was done back in 92 anyway. They made any changes to it since then?

Thank ya for any help you can give this old rookie :biggrin_25525:

I don't know about your state, but in Virginia the pre trip inspection then your in cab, followed by airbrake test and the straight line backing, curved backing to the drivers side and then road test and you are licensed.

Thanks for the info. Not sure what to expect honestly. Just picked up the Ga Manual and they have straight line backing, offset back right and left, and parallel park both drivers side and conventional as being part of the skills needed. I will be testing in AR though.
