Lift this, pull that, push this other thing, now carry that over there, and last but not least step up onto this. Takes less then five minutes. Its really not hard but a lot of people get mentally psyiced over it for some reason.

During this your heart rate cant go over max heart beats per minute based on your age.

    220-ageX.9= MHBM
    220-36=184, 184X.9=165.6 so 166(in my case)

In all honesty anyone who cant pass it needs to take a step back and then a very honest look at their physical condition. Because when someone doesnt pass it there's a very good reason why regardless if they want to admit it or not. Be it smoking three packs a day, over weight, or existing injury, knee, back, elbow, wrist ect.

Unfortunately for me, I smoke at least one pack a day, and I am an asthmatic. Because of my age (21) MHBPM is 179. However, I am concerned that my asthma medication on top of the stupidity of smoking with the illness, will increase my heart rate to above the max.

Yep you should be concerned, from the medicine alone. Beta receptors, as luck would have it, are responsible for opening airways AND increasing heart rate. People with high heart rates and high BP take beta BLOCKERS. You are likely using a beta AGONIST which is the opposite of what you want.

The sound advice is for you to hit a treadmill every day for the next however long you have. 2 to 3 weeks is enough to make a large impact in lowering your heart rate. Also don't use the asthma medication on the day of the test unless you really need it. Also don't smoke within an hour at least of the test

The bad advice which I'm not going to give you is that high BP is hereditary and grandma probably has some quick acting meds around. But! if it's not a water pill then it will probably close your airways enough to require the asthma medication. Tough call. Go see your physician.

Hey The Work Well Physical is not being done at the school anymore. Trust me I just came back from there. I asked the instructor and she said it is being done at your orientation after you graduate. I will be posting what you HAVE to have if you go to San Antonios Academy.

Sounds like they might be wanting to avoid weeding anyone out before they get to sign the contract to pay the money back...

That could be, Then you'll be stuck with a 3900 bill and no job, with a CDL that you have no experience with.

The San Antonio training area is VERY SMALL they share a yard with Conway or Central I forget who, they run 2-3 trucks for trainig.

I think its a function of size, maybe they cant justify the cost of having trained medical personal there or whatever.

At least you'll have the CDL and the schooling, that should get you a job someplace if you fail the test
